Day to Day Itinerary:
- DAY 1: DEPARTUREDepart on Singapore Airlines from SFO or LAX.
- DAY 2: ARRIVE IN DELHIUpon arrival in Delhi, our executive will meet you at the airport for transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Delhi.
- DAY 3: DELHIAfter breakfast, take a full-day city tour of New & Old Delhi, where ornate buildings hark back to the days when India was the Jewel in the crown of the British Empire. Visit the 11th century Qutab Minar, India Gate and the grand government buildings, such as the President's House (from outside), and Mahatama Gandhi's Memorial. Also visit Laxmi Narayan temple popularly known as Birla Temple. Later visit Old Delhi covering Red Fort (photo-stop) Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India also a stunning example of Mughal architecture. Conclude the tour at the Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi (father of the nation) at Raj Ghat, situated on the banks of the legendary Yamuna River. Overnight in Delhi.
- DAY 4: DELHI- MANDAWAAfter breakfast, drive to Mandawa. On arrival at Mandawa, transfer to your hotel. Later in the afternoon, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Shekhawati region (Mandawa) that used to be an important caravanserai of the past. See the many beautiful Fresco Painted Haveli of this quaint little town built by the rich and the famous merchants of the 18th and 19th centuries. These Haveli have been painted with activities of daily life and of deities to break the monotony of the desert life. Experience the Rural life of this village of the Shekhawati region. Overnight in Mandawa.
- DAY 5: MANDAWA- BIKANEREarly morning drive to Bikaner. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Overnight in Bikaner.
- DAY 6: BIKANERBreakfast at Hotel. In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Junagarh Fort and its palaces, followed by a visit to a Camel breeding farm. Late afternoon excursion to the famous Karni Mata Rat temple of Deshnok. Overnight in Hotel.
- DAY 7: BIKANER- KHIMSARAfter breakfast, drive to Khimsar. On arrival at Khimsar, check into the Hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Khimsar is steeped in history - a city founded 2500 years ago by the Jain Saint Mahaveer. This is the starting point of the great Indian Desert. In the evening, take a camel ride and watch the sun set over the sand dunes. Overnight in Khimsar.
- DAY 8: KHIMSAR- JODHPURAfter breakfast, drive to Jodhpur. On arrival, check into the Hotel. Afternoon visit Mehnargarh Fort & Jaswant Thada. Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur is one of the largest forts in Rajasthan. It is also the most magnificent fort in Jodhpur, in fact, in the whole of Rajasthan. The fort is amongst the most popular tourist places in India. It is situated on a 150m high hill. It was founded by Rao Jodha in 1459. The Mehrangarh Fort is the living proof of the hard work and skill of the Jodhpuri sculptors. To the left of the Mehrangarh Fort complex is the Jaswant Thada of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It is a 19th century royal cenotaph built in commemoration of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, the 33rd Rathore ruler of Jodhpur. The son of Maharaja Jaswant Singh, Maharaja Sardar Singh, built the Jaswant Thada in the memory of his father. The cenotaph has two more tombs within it. Nearby are the royal crematorium and three other cenotaphs. Overnight in Jodhpur.
- DAY 9: JODHPUR- UDAIPURAfter breakfast, drive to Udaipur, visiting Ranakpur temple enroute. Visit other famous temples, such as the main Chaumukha temple (Four-Faced Temple), which is dedicated to Adinath, the first tirthankar. The two other Jain temples in the complex are dedicated to Neminath and Parasnath. There is also the Sun temple and the Amba Mata temple near the main complex. Upon arrival at Udaipur, check into the Hotel. In the evening, take a one hour boat ride (common boat) at Lake Pichola where you can visit the Jag Mandir Island. Overnight in Udaipur.
- DAY 10: After breakfast, tour Udaipur, beginning with a visit to the City Palace, the largest royal complex in Rajasthan. Situated on a rocky promontory, the palace presents a wonderful view of the lake and the city. The complex has eleven constituent mahals (palaces), constructed by successive maharanas during the three hundred years that followed the foundation of Udaipur in 1559. Then, explore the Crystal Gallery and Durbar Hall within the complex for their mosaics, miniatures, mirror work and motifs. Jag Mandir, another island palace in Lake Pichola, was built by Karan Singh in 1615. It derives its name from Jagat Singh who added to the initial structure. This palace was used to provide shelter to the Mughal prince Khurum (later Emperor Shah Jahan) who rebelled against his emperor father Jahangir, in the 1620s, but was never used for the purpose for it was built. During the 1857 Mutiny, this island palace served as a safe haven for European women and children. Sahelion Ki Bari, the "garden of the maids of honour", was designed and laid out in the early eighteenth century as a retreat for ladies of the royal household to spend their time in leisure. The lotus pool, fountains, lawns, flowerbeds, and marble pavilions all combine to make it a captivating place. Also visit Jagdish Temple, an Indo-Aryan temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a manifestation of Vishnu. The largest and the most beautiful temple of Udaipur, it is always seething with constant activity and noted for its beautiful sculpted images and towering shikhara. Overnight in Udaipur.
- DAY 11: UDAIPUR- PUSHKARAfter breakfast, drive to Pushkar. Overnight in Pushkar.
- DAY 12: PUSHKAR- JAIPURMorning after breakfast visit Brahma Temple, the only temple where Lord Brahma is worshipped, is one of the main attractions of Pushkar. The temple holds special importance for the followers of Hinduism. The temple houses a life-size four-armed idol of Lord Brahma—the creator—in the antralaya (vestibule). The temple is also characterised by its white marble floor and stairs. The walls of the temple are studded with silver coins. The coins are put by the devotees to mark the births or deaths of the loved ones of the devotees who came here to offer prayers. Another major attraction of Pushkar is the picturesque lake that is of immense significance for the follower of Hinduism because of its legendary origins. According to legends, a lotus fell from the hand of Lord Brahma and dropped into this valley. A lake sprang up on the spot, which was subsequently dedicated to him. The entire lake is supposed to be surrounded by 500 temples, 52 palaces, and 52 ghats. Afternoon drive to Pink city – Jaipur. On arrival, check into the Hotel. Overnight in Jaipur.
- DAY 13: JAIPURAfter breakfast, visit the Amber Palace of the Kuchchawa rulers on the back of the elephant (on own) like the Maharajas and enjoy an Elephant ride. Later, tour the Pink City which includes Hawa Mahal "the palace of winds" (Photo-stop), and Jantar Mantar, an observatory which contains the original collection of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Then, you can observe the skills of carpet weaving, block printing and turban wearing , which play a vital role in Rajasthani life. Rest of the day free at leisure or shopping. Enjoy a GEM-CUTTING & POLISHING demonstration as Jaipur is one of the world’s most noted gem producers. Overnight in Agra.
- DAY 14: JAIPUR- AGRAAfter breakfast, drive to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri and Bharatpur. Evening sunset tour of Taj, regarded as one of the Wonders of the World. (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays). Taj Mahal is perhaps the most photographed monument in the world. Experience Taj Mahal in all its glory and beauty, which surpasses all human imagination. Overnight in Agra.
- DAY 15: AGRA- DELHI- AIRPORTIn the morning, take a half day city tour of Agra, visiting Agra Fort and local market. Also enjoy a demonstration of the inlay work of precious and semi precious stones into marble. Afternoon drive back to Delhi and transfer to the international airport to connect with the flight to next destination.
